The 13th annual Mizzou International Composers Festival concludes Saturday evening, July 30 with a 7:30 Pm (CDT) concert at the Missouri Theatre by acclaimed new music ensemble, Alarm Will Sound. Under the direction of Alan Pierson, AWS will play world premiere performances by the eight MICF Resident Composers. Admission to the concert is free.
The Resident Composers for the 13th annual MICF are: Caterina Di Cecca, Oswald Huynh, Pascal Le Boeuf, Jia Yi Lee, Pivawat Louilarppresert, Niko D. Schroeder, Felipe Tovar-Henao, and Cassie Wieland.
All works were written for Alarm Will Sound and the 2022 Mizzou International Composers Festival. Here is the program for tonight’s concert:
